Kami
Don’t let his outward appearance or his large stature fool you. Kami enjoys nature, the outdoors, swimming, and loves people. Currently, in a season of selflessness, he has an overwhelming desire to help others and believes he is called to one day be a firefighter. “I live every day to be more like Christ. To be completely selfless as He was. The greatest love is to lay down your life for a friend, and with firefighting, I will be ready to make that sacrifice every time I put on that uniform.”
Before he leaves this earth he hopes to one day travel to Venice, Italy to ride in a gondola. “I once saw a picture of a little cafe by the water in Venice with the gondolas in front of the Cafe, and since then I’ve always wanted to go there.” He also wants to lead at least one person, who does not know Jesus, to Him to experience true Love.
When asked what piece of advice he would give to his younger self he replied: “Learn as much as you can, because I love learning now and wish I would have learned more when I was younger. Also to save money.” What I learned for Kami is to not fear helping others in need when you have very little to give. “As long as you walk in faith with the Lord He will provide. So don’t fear to let go.”
