Jr. a.k.a “Caveman”

For Jr. being multifaceted is an understatement. He is a creative force of nature and a prolific artist. His passions include photography, painting, drawing, cinematography, graphic design, and soon-to-be fashion. “I just got a new sewing machine and I’m gonna start doing cut and sew.” Jr. is always seeking new artistic ventures to feed his voracious creative appetite and feels he has to stay busy. When he is not creating, his head is buried in scripture or a good book. Oh, did I forget to mention he rides a Harley Sportster? Ladies, what more can you ask for?

Jr. is currently in a transitional season after the company he was working for was sold, leaving him unemployed. He is looking for his next move but is taking it slow and enjoying the process of searching. “I think I’m gonna go to school for theology.” He also expressed great interest in starting an inspirational blog called “Breaking Chains,” with a group of writers dedicated to encouraging believers to continue to pursue the Lord.

Before he dies he wants to travel. “I just want to get on my bike and ride to new towns and meet interesting people, like at a bar or something.” He also wants to achieve a lifelong dream of his by building a creative space for less affluent youth. One floor is dedicated to photography and visuals, another floor is for music, and the bottom floor is for sports and recreation. “I know how it is for kids not having a family, I grew up without my dad.”

After scarfing down our big ass burritos for lunch, what impressed me most about sitting and talking to Jr. was not his uncanny ability to be great at so many talents, but the love that he has for his friends, even those who do not reciprocate that same love.
